509 Royal Crest Drive: A Personal History

November 2018

509 is a project exploring the ecosystem of the home at 509 Royal Crest, in Richardson TX, a suburb of Dallas, TX. View the house from Google Earth street view here. Rachel and Alvis Everett bought the house at 509 Royal Crest in 1958 and lived there for the next 60 years. They got married, raised a family, took and lost jobs, collected furniture, dishes, knick-knacks, filled up the garage, had kids and then grandkids, retired - died. All of the things a couple does when they stay in the same geographical location and the same four walls for 60 years. This project visually explores the rich and specific ecosystem of this house and a family.
